I finally tracked down a couple of Catwalk Kitties, the presumably unsuccessful cat-model doll release from Lanard.
These pictures are of Toffee and Anika (not in stock clothes), who are two of the ‘Models’ in the series. The others are Purrl, Sushi, Sienna and Minx. The other half of the series are the ‘Behind the Scenes’ dolls: Callie the model of the year, Topaz the make-up artist, Jet the fashion Photographer and Chase the modeling agent. These last ones are supposedly harder to find. There are also petite versions of many of the dolls.
Their bodies are a bit like Barbie or Bratz, as they’re not very articulated – their heads, hips etc twist but only their knees bend. Their feet come off like Brats feet, but aren’t switchable due to the plastic colour being different on each doll.
According to the response to my pestering email to Big W, they’re definitely discontinued. They’re also MIA on the Lanard official website. Though the ‘harder to find’ ones have popped up on Amazon.com and many are still gathering dust in a few places around Australia, like Big W and Toy Kingdom and a couple of other shops. They can also be found in a few countries around Europe, but I’m not aware of the details.
I wonder if they’ll the next Peteena. It’s a pity they’re not making any more.

They seem to have very Barbie-like bodies. I love that yours are wearing Pullip gear!
I also find their names v amusing.

They’re cute! I used to have Anika, she was my favourite…do you have the petite ones? Their tails are plastic like their bodies, and they can share petite Blythe clothes and sunglasses

I REALLY want a Sushi doll! I really REALLY want one! If you guys can track one down BUY IT I will pay, I don’t mind if I have to have it shipped here! PLEASE OH PLEASE OH PLEASE!!!!!! I don’t want a petit one…..a normal big one (barbie sized). Even if you know of someone who has….TELL me!!!!!

Hi. I just got my first Catwalk Kitty. Her name is Chase. I found her on E-bay. There are others there too. I found Chase and Jet for $4.99 with $9.99 shipping, totally worth it! I think the others on E-bay are Toffee and Sienna(way more expensive!) So cute! And I love all the accessories she came with

I saw “Jet the fashion Photographer” in a really strange little toystore the other day. Never having seen this series of dolls before, I made a mental note to google them and that’s how I got to this site. Now that I hear they’re “hard to find”, I might want one!

They can fit any bratz shoes or boots though which means you can get your hands on some really cool shoes for them, as many bratz shoes and boots don’t show any skin but are quite cool looking!
